The more journals I see crying foul on this bill, the more I can't believe people who do such great works of art can be so blinded by ignorance.
Let's examine the article that is causing most of this hysteria:
[LINK]This man apparently has an anti goverment agenda. He is using this bill to get people worked into an ignorant ferver. What he fails to do is provide the whole truth behind the bill, which is his spin.
Now here is information on the bill itself:
[LINK]Let's examine the truth of the matter. This bill has not been before Congress since 2006. This bill would also only affect those who cannot be contacted about their work. If your work is here on DA, then it is timestamped, and your DA page is a way for you to be contacted.
I could rant on this, but won't. What I will say is this, protect your work, which only requires adding your signature, a watermark, and/or contact information to your piece of work. Also, by submitting your work here on DA protects it by timestamping it and providing a way for you to be contacted. In short people, read the facts before letting ignorance rule your judgement.
Update: TomatoDragon put some links to the actual goverment documents in his journal, follow the link to his journal to get the links for the goverment documents.
[LINK]Update 2: And now an official response from DA, sounds alot like what I said, just with more words, very much worth a read:
